The text you type
Text you type or paste into a box on this site is turned into styles in your browser by the site's own script, and that script makes no network request. Google Analytics, described below, is not handed the text: a check run on the built pages types and pastes marked text and fails if that text turns up in any request a page makes.
Google Analytics
Every page of the site except the page-not-found page loads Google Analytics 4, a measurement service run by Google, which records visits to the site.
With each page view it sends Google the address and the title of the page, the address of the page you came from, your browser's language and your screen size, together with details of your browser and device. Google receives your IP address and may use it to estimate your general location. Depending on its settings, Google Analytics can also record events such as reaching the bottom of a page or following a link to another site.
Where analytics cookies are allowed, Google Analytics sets two cookies on this site: _ga, which tells one browser's visits apart from another's, and one whose name starts with _ga_, which keeps the state of a visit. Google lists both as lasting two years by default.
Google Analytics keeps the data it records about visits to this site for 14 months, and then deletes it.
Google signals is switched off for this site, so Google does not link visits to the Google accounts of the people who make them.
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the site tells Google Analytics that consent is denied. Google Analytics then neither sets nor reads its cookies, and still sends visit data without them, which Google describes as including the time, your browser's details and the page you came from. Google says it uses these visits without cookies to estimate the site's figures. Everywhere else, the site tells Google Analytics that consent is granted, and the cookies are set. The site has no cookie banner at present, so this cannot be changed from the site.
For visitors from the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google says that Google Analytics uses the IP address only to work out a general location and then discards it, without logging or storing it.
To stop Google Analytics from using your visits, you can install Google's opt-out browser add-on, which is made for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings, which stops the two cookies from being kept.
How Google uses what it receives is explained on Google's page How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Hosting by Cloudflare
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver each page, Cloudflare processes information about the request, such as your IP address. The site's responses also ask your browser, if it supports this, to send Cloudflare a report when a page fails to load. How Cloudflare handles this information is described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
If you write to [email protected], Cloudflare Email Routing forwards your message to the publisher's own inbox, so your email address and whatever you write reach the publisher. Cloudflare says that it does not store or access the content of the emails it routes. It does keep a log of each message's sender, recipient, subject and delivery status, which the publisher can see in Cloudflare's dashboard.
What the site does not have
The site has no accounts, no sign-in and no form that sends anything, and its own code sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. There are no ads on the site at present.
